Welcome to the oldest barber shop in Utrecht!

De Bruijn Haarmode is a barber shop for men and women, although we are barbers in the traditional sense of the word. We specialize in cutting, dressing, styling, grooming and shaving men’s and boy’s hair. We are the oldest barber family and the oldest barber shop in Utrecht and in the Netherlands. Our shop was established in 1848 at Springweg 20, in the center of Utrecht. Since then, a passion for hairdressing has been passed down for six generations. Our store is currently run by Michael De Bruijn.

We currently work by appointment only, and fully in accordance with the protocols of the Dutch National Association of Hairdressers (ANKO).

Unfortunately, it is only possible to move or reschedule an appointment by telephone.
For hygiene purposes, washing is mandatory and included in all our treatments. It is not possible to delete this from your online reservation.

Reservations can only be cancelled by telephone. Please do so 24 hours in advance at the latest, by calling 030-2318269.

We are affiliated with the Royal ANKO (the Dutch National Association of Hairdressers) and use only the finest products for styling and color treatments, such as Keune, Mediceuticals and Proraso.
